NOVEC Project – Innovative condensation / evaporation system with dielectric refrigerant fluid in closed cycle with industrial application

INDUSTRIAS TÉCNICAS DE GALICIA, S.A. participates in the project called “NOVEC: Innovative condensation/evaporation system with dielectric refrigerant fluid in closed cycle with industrial application”.

The main objective of this project is the design, study, and validation of a closed evaporative condenser system as part of a refrigeration installation. The refrigerant fluid for this installation would be NovecTM1230 commercial fluid or other fluids of interest, which has characteristics that make it harmless to humans and environmentally friendly. To increase the system’s energy efficiency, the feasibility of implementing various energy recovery systems will be studied.

The NOVEC consortium is made up of the following companies:

• INTEGASA, a benchmark company in the metal-mechanical field and in the field of thermal exchange with extensive experience in R&D&I projects.
• GIPAT, as a company that, although small, is one of the companies with the greatest projection in the installation of industrial refrigeration solutions at national level.
• ATI SISTEMAS, one of the Galician leaders in the field of electrical regulation and control and with a great background in research and development projects applied to industry.
• GRG, trade name DOSMASDOS, an ICT company with proven expertise in the field of sensors and control applied to projects in the field of energy and with previous experience in R&D&I projects.
• The GTE-UVIGO as a fundamental subcontractor of the project that reinforces the capacities of the companies.
