CMR SYSTEM Project: Development of an electro-regenerative modular chimney system

Proyecto “CMR SYSTEM: Desarrollo de un sistema de chimenea modular electro-regenerativa”

INDUSTRIAS TÉCNICAS DE GALICIA, S.A. participates in the project called “CMR SYSTEM: Development of a modular electro-regenerative chimney system”.

The main objective of the project is the development of a modular and scalable product designed for chimneys with a diameter of less than 1,200 mm and exhaust gas temperatures of less than 450ºC. The aim is to provide a solution to the unresolved problem of energy recovery in certain combustion processes inside chimneys, based on the fumes from the thermal systems to which they are connected.

The CMR SYSTEM consortium is made up of the following companies:

  • DINAK, as a leading company in the field of chimneys, with extensive experience in projects in this area and a great international projection.
  • INTEGASA, a benchmark company in the metal-mechanical field and in the field of thermal exchange with extensive experience in R+D+i projects.
  • ATI SISTEMAS, one of the Galician leaders in the field of electrical regulation and control and with a great background in research and development projects applied to industry.
  • INSEGA ENERGÍA, a company in the energy sector with a very defined expertise in the field of sensorics and control applied to energy projects and with previous experience in R&D&I projects.
  • The GTE-UVIGO as a key subcontractor of the project that strengthens the capacities of the companies.

This project is subsidised by the Galician Agency of Innovation in the framework of the 2018 call of the “CONECTA PEME” Program. It has been supported by the Regional Ministry of Economy, Employment, and Industry (Xunta de Galicia) and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in the framework of the Operational Programme ERDF Galicia 2014-2020, CHALLENGE 2: New industrial model based on competitiveness and knowledge.
